All leather holsters, regardless of manufacturer or style, need to be broken in.
When you first receive it, your gun fit will be extremely tight. It must be made this way, to get perfect retention after the leather stretches.
You will receive these instructions with your holster, but here's how to break it in:
Place your unloaded gun in a heavy-duty plastic bag (like a ziplock), place the bag-covered gun into the holster and leave it there for several days.
It helps to draw the unloaded, bagged gun in and out of the holster, multiple times. It's easy to do it while watching TV or other activities - it does take several days of working with the leather holster and leaving the bagged gun in it to break it in.
Do not use oils or any other products on the holster in an effort to loosen it.

This holster is very well made and really nice. You do have to stretch it out when you get it because it is super small when you first try to put your gun in. What I did was, get a zip lock bag and put my unloaded gun in the bag with the muzzle in one of the corners, then I folded the excess of the bag up and around the muzzle as well, then I had to get my husband to actually squeeze it into the holster like that. He made sure to hold the back of the slide with his thumb while pushing it in, so that it wouldn't slide back because then it won't stretch properly. I then left it for about 4-5 days. When I came back to it it was stretched enough where I can get the gun in and out with minimal effort, but still snug enough where it won't just fall out on its own. Beautiful holster, I'll be using it for a very long time.
The holster is beautiful, the only problem is that it is too tight. I can’t pull my gun (a Glock 26) out without a struggle, and having to use one hand to hold the holster in place. I read the instructions about loosening it by placing it in a plastic bag - didn’t work. Certainly not what I was expecting.
I waited 8 weeks for this holster and it was worth it. Ordered it for my Rugger 22 but now have an EZ .380. So the only thing I could do was order another one! It’s so soft and now that it’s broken in it is perfect! Can’t wait for my new one to come.
